Maryland Vehicle Emission Inspection Program

Centralized high-volume emission testing through 18 stations and 10 self-service testing kiosks.

Operated this busy centralized testing program under contract with the Maryland Motor Vehicle Administration and the Maryland Department of Environment since 1999. We developed, equipped and staffed the program, which has 18 stations with 81 lanes, serving the City of Baltimore and 13 counties, totalling over 1.7 million inspections each year

Also installed and operated 10 self-service OBD kiosks located throughout the state. Since they were introduced, these kiosks have seen increased volume as an alternative to standard emission testing at stations. The kiosks are placed in well-lit locations and can be connected via real-time video for motorist assistance.
